The importance and benefits of reading the Arabic Quran are numerous and will be discussed during the course adequately.
This course is a step-by-step guide for learning to read the Quranic script according to the Arabic Uthmani script.
In first part of the course beginnerswill be introduced to the Arabic language and they will gain a clear knowledge and understanding of basics of the Arabic language such as the Arabic alphabet, pronunciation of Arabic words, the use of verbs and nouns, and how to read and write simple sentences in Arabic.
In the second part the students are introduced to the Quranic words in their original script (from Madinah Mushaf) which is the Uthmani script without bringing in any of the Tajweed rules. Learning the rules of recitation can be the next goal of the second course. Each time they study a bunch of the most used words in the Quranic script including pronunciation, meaning and writing. By the time they finish this part they will be able to read and write nine words from a verse of twelve words.
In the third and final part the students will be introduced to various verses of the Quran to fill in the gaps for the most missing words of the second part. Also some attention will be given for short suras and their tafseer.
At the end of the course I expect most of the students will be able to read and write the Arabic script of the Quran.
I also pray that through this course work many will take on themselves the
Great task of learning Arabic as a language with a sole purpose to understand Allah’s words, and I am positive that Almighty Allah will make it easy for them to achieve that purpose.
